The way I heard the legend about "Sagnaskee Harry" was that one day Harry was fishing and became enraged about all the litter left by fisherman. He then unleashed a plague of yellow bass to steal the bait of anyone who fishes. Some say that around Halloween you can see Harry walking on the water. However, further investigation has shown that since Sagnaskee slough is only a foot deep it only seems that way.
