: : Darren,

: : I've been out at some local ponds all this week. Fishing buzzbaits and spinnerbaits mainly. The only luck I had was the hawg Monday night, other than that, not even a hit!

: : Tried the old Rat-L-Trap too, nada. Doh!!! The one thing that really sucks, is I only have 20 minutes of light left when I get home from work. :(

: : Going to try for some Fox River walleyes on the weekends pretty soon.

: : Good Fishing.

: Eric..

: I didn't even break out the Rat-L-Trap or buzzbaits yesterday because of the lack of time before dark sets in. By the time I hit my usual 3 or 4 spots on the lake using the jigs and twisters that usually produce....it's time to go. That sucks about this time of year. In another couple of weeks, the only time left for fishing will be on weekends.

Fished Busse from 1-3:00 on 10/20. Nothing below the dam at Salt Creek (main dam?) Tried small Husky Jerk fished slow, mostly. Went to the channel just west of the boat rental and caught a 12" LM on a red/white thunderstick just offshore. Healthy looking fish, just small. Some crappie fisherman had luck at the dam near the rental area saying they caught 21 or so. Wind was brutal. Nobody else seemed to do anything from what I could see.
