I have also fished Maple and Belly deep and been skunked.
Have you tried Bull Frog on the West side of Wolf Road?
Using the lures you mentioned, I have caught bass.
Chug bugs and buzz baits in green worked the best.
Move around, fish get spooked easily. It sounds like you
have good timing and tackle, keep trying.
Most of the fish I caught were within 5 feet of shore.
I made long casts parallel to shore. Make a couple of casts
and move, if it looks good return to try again.
