: : Didn't have too much time to fish yesterday with the sun setting so soon but I did make it out there from 4:45 to about 6:15.
: : Water levels around the dam are still low, and still no water coming over.
: : Caught 2 medium sized crappies in a row on a yellow 1/16 oz jig and chartreuse 3" twister dragging the jig along the bottom.
: : About 30 minutes later caught 1 walleye (13 inches) on the same jig/twister combo a bit further downstream. It took the twister after I changed the presentation a bit by jerking and twitching it back to shore.
: : A few people over the dam were pulling in small crappies and bluegills, other than that nothing spectacular was going on.
: : Wish I had had more time to fish. After this week I'll be going nuts!

: Darren: Which one of the dams is the main dam at Busse? Is it the one nearest where Salt Creek runs under Arlington heights Road or the other dam near the boat rental facility within the preserve? Always wondered.

The main dam is the one that empties into Salt Creek that goes under A.H. road. The middle dam is also a good spot to try. You can catch walleyes and crappies there, and there are some other productive areas around there.
