Fermi Lab lakes

Has anyone been to Fermi Lab lately and caught any large bass or other gamefish? I don't think I've ever read anything about someone catching anything substantial out of there. Maybe it's just never reported.

I took a drive in there yesterday and checked out the lakes (only the cool ones, not the hot one), but didn't fish. One thing that struck me as strange was there were no surface weeds of any kind at a time when most lakes are choked with weeds. There were a few fallen trees and bushes as workable structure. The water looked pretty murky. I wouldn't know how to approach it other than using a spinnerbait or a rubber worm. These were the observations I made from my car, I didn't walk around each lake.

Just curious if anyone knows for sure what species are in there and if there is any big stuff. This lake could be a good alternative to Blackwell, because it's not that much further west and seems to get less pressure.

Good Fishing.
