2/25:
went to my favorite pond and tried for some prespawn crappie for an hour and a half. i ended up with 5 crappie (8-10"ers) and 1 bluegill. i got em on a plain charteuse mini mite jig tipped with mousies 1' below a small bobber. they were holding tight to the submerged trees
2/26:
went out today for some more crappie from 2:30-5:00 with some rain mixed in. used the same setup as yesterday except i used an orange colored jig and a 1" charteuse twister tail. today they were just stacked up at this one tree. i got a total of 24 crappies ( 17 were between 7-10"ers and i got 3 12"ers that weighted almost a pound). all these fish were released.
