Went fishing at a pond in Plano, and caught Bass on
1/4 pieces of nightcrawlers, heddon torpedo, topwater
popper, and a moss mouse. All nice size, 10" or larger.
My friend caught a 22" Channel Cat on a bass plastic
worm. We figure the cat was chashing gills and found
the worm. Caught gills that were huge! 6" Gills were
caught mostly, but an 8" Gill was also caught. Note this
is all at a pond in Plano.
BUT for fishing around here, not much to talk about.
I have caught the best Bass around here in the past
years and months. Caught a 3 lb. LM at Pratt Wayne in
the spring while it was on its bed. Quickly released.
Caught a 2.25 lbs. LM at Herrick Lake a few years ago.
Took over 50 cast to get him to hit the small repala I
was working. This LM was in with the Gills and also picked
up some gills with the repala too. I never catch anything
at Blackwell, or Mallard. Both in my opinions are pretty lousy
lakes. If you get out on a boat i suppose itd be much
better. Keep looking for more fishing posts from me.
I just got my drivers license so drivers and fish beware!
Catch you guys later!
