What is the largest known bass to have come out of Mayslake and when did you catch/hear about it?
What is the largest bass to have been seen or come out of there recently? (Within the last year)
The reason I ask is that I heard it was really a great lake when it first was made public a few years ago, but also many
anglers kept a lot of big bass because they had never been able to catch a big bass before. Since that lake had
no pressure, the big bass were easy to catch when it first opened up.
I fished it once in the spring a few years ago, I caught a few 12" on a rubber worm, and saw a guy pull a nice one off a bed with a live nightcrawler and
promptly put it in the bucket he was using as a seat. That kind of mentality really turned me off from the lake and I haven't been back since.
I just was wondering if attitudes have changed and there are still any big bass in there worth angling for?
