: Be careful when fishing Blackwell lakes.

: A good friend works for the superfund clean up and says not to eat anything out of it because of its high level of toxin. The politicians kept it off the list because they didn't want the property values to crash.

: I have been out there when they have been doing surveys on how often do you eat these fish and stuff like that. So this tells me his story is probably true.

: Enjoy the fishing, BUT DON'T EAT ANYTHING OUT OF THERE!!!!!!

: Good Fishing.

Thanks for the warning. I think that Illinois is lax in general when it comes
to warnings about eating fish from many area waters such as the entire river system in Illinois, Lake Michigan ,Chicago River and so on, even though these waters are listed in local fishing reports. I think that the water quality in Illinois water quality is not good overall, so I think that the level and fequency of warnings are not good. And yes they do keep things on the hush, hush to save property values and fishing\tourism dollars.
