That's right. I caught 70 bass in the month of December from the warm water discharge area at Busse. A large fathead minnow and a number 6 hook. That's it. No weight, no bobber, just freelining the minnow and the bass tore it up. The biggest was 16 inches and the smallest were only a few inches. The fish averaged at about 10 inches. Still tons of fun, especially for December. This area doesn't ice up and fish can be caught all winter.
