I posted a message on the Ice Fishing Bulletin Board just before ice up regarding the CCFPD lakes Ice Fishing Problem. This really burns me up that we pay our taxes and can't even get a straight answer about "OPEN" ice fishing year after year. I tried getting some answers from the guys running the CCFPD booth at the fishing show about 3 years ago, but they were unsure. I know even the bait shops are unsure what is open. Ignorance is no excuse, CCFPD needs to shape up. I enjoy fishing these close to home lakes and would love to see one of the CCFPD officers get out of their patrol car, drill a few holes, measure the ice thickness and decide if it is safe.
