ever fish the wooddale grove on wooddale rd south of rt. 19???

A few years back at the fishing tips & tricks seminar. I caught a bunch of small blue gills just above the weeds. In fact I could see the fish attack the jigs. From what I heard at the get together Wooddale was killed off and restocked because the yellow bass! were taking over the lake. I did have one good fish on that broke my 1lb test that I believe was a Crappie. Give it a shot, can't hurt. BTW the yellow bass were not stocked by the DNR. Some angler(s) with nothing better to do probably tossed them in and as a result the whole lake was killed off & restocked. Now that is a waste. Try the 'lake' button on this(Forest preserve) site or try the link provided for map info. DuPage county does have a www site and also has a booklet with lake depths and such. Unfortunately I live in Cook 'do nothing' County and have the pleasure of *not* catching fish thru the ice.
