Took my 8-year old twin grandsons to a local pond last Saturday. One of them landed a nine and a half inch bluegill. Seems that I recall reading on this site that any bluegill over 8 or 9 inches is considered a good size. Caught another 13 fish in about 3hours. All on night crawlers. A mix of BG and bass. Of course, the kids are being taught the importance of C&R. Any comments on the fish size?
