As of Sunday at Saganaskee some open water by the creek and spillway only. 104th lot was still roped off but I assume once more water opens up the will be taking the chains down. Anyway I tried fishing the spillway and caught a bluegill as soon as I put my line down. Unfortunately 1.5 hours later it was still the only fish I caught ;-( I was talking to someone that caught a bunch of small Crappies on minnows Friday but he also wasn't having any luck Sunday. I went by Horestail and Papoose and neither had open water. Tampier had a decent size area open on the south side of 131'st(by the culvert). The north side only had a small section. I didn't have an opportunity to fish the south side as there were three anglers there including a kid that was throwing a buzz bait of all things. What a waste of a fishing area! I didn't catch anything on the north side and an angler that was using minnows on the south side wasn't having any luck either. The closest I came was a bite on a wax worm. I mostly used spikes on a jig for my set-up. I was really surpised by the lack of open water. We need some good ice melting rain but fast......
