Fished the main dam at Busse yesterday afternoon with what seemed like a million other guys with no luck. The water is high and close to shore, which ordinarily brings the walleyes in closer, but in 3 hours only the guy next to me caught 1 small walleye on a bobber rig with a minnow on it.
The discharge area was even more packed, so I didn't try to fish it. A guy told me that last week they were catching nice bass out of there, but that it had been slow over the weekend.
PS: On what was one of the most crowded days I've seen there in a while, I couldn't believe the IDNR didn't have anyone out checking licenses or for limits. The Forest Preserve policing is way too lax.
