although cold and windy, i managed to get out fishing today. my selected lake or pond was the ponds i was talking about before in my report "CEMETERY". i was there for two hours and actually managed to catch fish. i don't know how but i caught 60 or 70 bluegill!!! yes that many. i only used two different presentations:1)most of the gills came on a orange 1/128 oz marmooska jig tipped with spikes or waxworms under a thill shy bite. they just hammered that.
2)the second was the one that caught the bigger ones. i used a pink 1/32 oz mini-mite jig with a berkley power wiggler tipped with spikes or waxworms. the average size was about 4", yet i also got a couple of 6 inchers and one 8" bluegill caught on the pink mini mite jig with a 2" orange twister tail. no bait. so although i braved the cold i managed to get my biggest gill of the year so far. if any questions e-mail me or post a message.
