: I was just wondering if there are any Bode Lake Pros out there that can give me some man to man
: advice. I'm mostly looking to catch Bass, but some Crappie and Northern
: Pike information would be great as well. Thank you for reading.
I never fished Bode lake, but I took a look at a map of it and it does look like a good lake to fish. Right now I would concentrate on the Crappies as they will probably be the most active fish. Any structure would be a great place to start, but if it is like anything like the south side lakes, there is little or none of it ;-( It looks like a creek runs into the lake. That would be a great place to start if the current is running. A minnow or spikes on a float that drifts in the current should pick up something. For northers, see if a baitstore has some dead golden roaches(for a big discount). Northerns are opportunistic feeders and will grab dead bait sitting on the bottom. Again try near the stream or any weedbeds(if still some alive). I usually don't target Bass until breeding season is over so I really don;t know any cold water tactics for them. Just remember, can't catch a fish if you don't have a pole in the water! Good luck.
