Fished a small pond yesterday. I mean I fished a SMALL pond yesterday. I call this pond "Old Man's Pond." This pond I've been fishing for years, and I've only seen other people fishing it a couple times. The fish are not lure shy. Usually I fish here for gills, but I choose to throw a small repala (lipless). Glad I did. In less then an hour I had C&R about 15 bass. Most were around pound/pound and a half, but caught two in the two pound area. I was amazed on the speed at which the bass were hitting the crankbait. A fast retrieve was creating an impulse bite on the slow, cold, bass. Good thing about small ponds, its easy to locate the fish.

Anyone interested in finding where this pond is? I'll E-mail a few interested people w/location, but I don't want to exploit this truly kind pond.
