Are you refering to the lake at S/W corner of 95th and Willow Springs Rd.? If so:
A few years back I saw the CCFP Police escorting 2 guys and their fishing poles out of there. I used to take my son for walks at the Little Red School House and we've seen many large fish in the water. I haven't been past it since I switched jobs a year ago but there used to be 'No Fishing' signs posted in the water about 20 feet out. If you have kids, the Schoolhouse might still be a nice place to visit. I think the fence was put up to limit the number of waterfowl that crossed the street. When I started driving that stretch of road, it used to be a problem.
I've seen the pond on the S/E corner of that intersection dry up during the summer. It's very shallow but the waterfowl love it. I drove past there twice a day for almost two years. If you go slow enough heading north on Willow Springs Rd., sometimes you see turtles, frogs, and some large snakes in the brush during the summer months. You'll see plenty of fish across the street but they are off limits to us.
