Fished the I & M with a friend from about 12:30 - 18:00 hours. Targeted Crappies but there was only 1 caught(by my friend). Plenty of gills/green sunfish caught, on the bottom on spikes, fished just 1 - 3 feet from shore. Most of the gills/suns ran about 3 - 4'' but a few in the 6 - 7'' range pulled in. Nothing great, but kept the action going. Attempted to wade but with all the muck on the bottom it was a real chore, so walked thru the brush instead ;-(. Ton of structure in the water, so where the Crappies are is anyones guess. Mark, I'll (hopefully) be fishing sag in about 3 weeks. I believe it will be closed down the next two weeks because of Trout stocking(which will open 04/10). Last year I went one week after it re-opened for the Trout and ended up catching(and releasing) quite a few 8'' gills on whole nightcrawlers.
