The only suggestion I have is to try to get the local media involved. Let them start asking questions. I remember seeing county workers caught snoozing on the job by Channel 5 undercover cameras way back when. While these guys may not be snoozing, they sure aren't enforcing game laws. If we can convince the media they can make a good story out of it, they may be able to help.
All our complaining will not accomplish anything. Specific problems need to be documented using examples. This documentation needs to get into the hands of someone who has the authority to do something about it. Not just someone who has the authority, but someone who is willing to take steps towards getting these problems resolved. I wish I knew who that person was.
The Will County Forest Preserve Police seem to know something about enforcing regulations. I've been checked several times by them. Maybe they could give their friends to the north some pointers.
I do have one good word to say for the CCFPP - I called them once for a problem that had nothing to do with licenses or undersized fish and they handled what could have been a dangerous situation properly.
