The pond I caught those bass in is a private pond surrounded by residences. It has no public access and you have to be a resident or guest to fish it. You would not believe how many of my neighbors ask me if there are fish in there. My personal best is a 22" largemouth on a topwater frog, but I think I got one much bigger on a buzzbait about two years ago -- I never measured it. : ) Keep in mind that this is where I do most of my topwater fishing throughout the summer, so the deck is somewhat stacked as far as Illinois goes.
