Last year I felt like Peter: if only someone would tell me "where".
I did as Eric suggested and read the archives, followed the posts on this Board and read everything I could get my hands on relating to Bass fishing. There is enough material available on the Internet to put together a small book.
This year I have been "taking out on the water" and enjoying a moderate amount of success. I haven't put up any phenomenal numbers in either quantity or size of fish, but last week I fished some every day (avg. 1-1.5 hours per day) and caught at least 1 fish each time. After all the "skunking" I took last summer, this is a major improvement.
Where? Any pond I drive by. Since I don't have a lot of time to fish, I don't want to spend it travelling to and from a "spot" so the closer to home the better. I'll drive around the area and if I can find a small body of water, weeds, trees, birds and access, I'll give it a try. I've caught at least one Largemouth each time.
Try it. You'll like it.
