Fish caught at: Local Pond

Recent BASS activity:
Hey the bass are hitting and hitting lots of lures.
Last week was a great one. Several bass caught
on plastic worms (1 "clear" brown, and 1 pure natural brown worm).
The plastics came from 2:30-8:30 at varies times.
At 8:30 four nights ago lost a big 4 pounder.
My line broke during the exciting fight.
Small bass can be caught on something life-like
and something that flashes, i.e. mepps.
Also have had and seen good luck on topwater.
Lures used were reg thick, long rapala and a
spit n' image. I myself had one small one, but another guy
was doing great. One was a beauty, meaning
2 pounds. He just would cast parallel to shore
and zig zag it back. Also, big plastic crayfish
produced fish. Work it slow. Hits come from structures.
Find structures, cast around, behind, infront, and INTO
structures. INTO is important. If you see a bass go
under a branch, cast your lure under the branch.
Get it into structure.

Bluegills are active like always. Keep hooks small
to lower the risk of killing the snippers.

Catfish should get going. One guy caught a
catfish on a bluegill. He hooked the gill and the cat
came after the gill. Twenty inch cat is not to shabby.

POST SPAWN:
Don't be afraid of the post spawn time,
Consider live bait and keep working those
structures. If I am worng, tell me, but,
males start to guard those nests. The females
should be hungy and thinner but hey its
a BASS!!!!!!!!
