Went out Sunday morning near home to try some topwater in between rain showers. Was rewarded with a 19" post-spawn female (her tail still red from fanning). Fish hit about 20 feet out around some floating vegetation. Inhaled a barbless 1/4 ounce black skirt Boogerman buzzbait.
Sunday evening took a friend to a pond in Sycamore and had a blast as the front came through. Fished 4 PM until dark. Largemouth were nuts for the black buzzbait. Caught 5 ranging from 14" - 16" and also caught several other 15" on chart. spinnerbaits, as well as some crappie and bluegill on small tinsel jigs.
Good Fishing.
