: First, a very special thanks to the Nightcrawlers Outdoors Show, ED, and the rest who help put the fishing contest together. Had a great time guys, despite the weather!

: Gills everywhere, but alas they only averaged 3 - 4'' ;-( If I fished for those suckers exclusively I would have caught over 300 easy in the 4 hours. The first hour I was using redworms and managed only 35 because the dang things kept stealing the bait. I then tried for Carp(using corn) one one pole and gills(now using spikes) with the other. The stupid gills kept hitting the corn and I was catching even less fish becuase I was trying to constantly hook fish on two poles and what a fiasco that was LOL. I did hook & land a nice 28'' 12lb Carp. The only thing is, the total length of all fish caught was being tabulated, and the time I spent bringing in the 28'' fish, I probably could have caught 10, 3'' gills. But hey, them Carp(all looked nice size when they jumped) kept 'teasing' me, so what's an angler to do :-) In the last 18 minutes I used my pole(no reel) and caught 29 gills. Man was I beat & muddy!

Congrats Oz!
Oz won the derby!
I hope you enjoy the new rod and reel! :-)
