I and three others fished Lake Arlington from 10:30 - 14:30 in an "unofficial" NWMA contest. Fishing was very good as the gill bite was on. Weights were 11.5, 9.4, 8.9 & 6.3 pounds. Gills caught on just about anything thrown their way(corn, spikes, redworms, pieces of nightcrawler) and were hitting hard(at least for me). Decent size ones too, as I would say at least 80% of the catch were 6 - 7'' fish. Just one other species of fish caught. We guessed a chub as it had the shape of a perch, coloring of a largemouth and head of a carp. Only saw one other angler on a very nice day to be out! BTW, before any meathogs get any ideas - the lake is C & R only.
