Water levels are up a bit at Busse and the water is pretty clear. Not much current around the main pool.Pretty overcast day and the place was deserted. I only saw one other person fishing the whole afternoon. For anyone interested the ramps are still open though with this colder weather they are bound to be closing them soon. They already have the No Ice Fishing signs up, LOL!

I started off using minnows under a float fishing a mainlake rock/gravel point with deep water near the shoreline and a sandy/dead weebed flat nearby. 2 bites right away that I lost. Fish are biting pretty light and it was impossible setting the hook on the fish. And if you waited too long they either stole the minnow or dropped the jig. I had no luck casting the jig and minnow combo either and working it back slowly toward shore. I wish I had brought some hooks.
Finally caught 3 agressive fish slowly working a blue/white baby thunderstick along the edge of the deadweed flat where it drops off into deep water, all between 4:15 and 4:40 pm. The largest was 13.5 inches with the other 2 measuring around 12 inches, and all caught after twitching the bait and pausing it for a few seconds.
