Tried Busse again for a few hours this afternoon at the same area on the main pool I've been fishing. Water levels are about the same, but clarity is a bit muddier from the rain and barely any current. Cloudy drizzling and overcast with hardly another person around. I think I counted maybe 2 or 3 passerbys. Now's the time to get out there as you can have the lake pretty much to yourself.

Pretty slow and only went 1 for 2, a nice sized crappie caught on a pink/white jig and minnow was the only fish landed. Again, like yesterday hooked into a beauty but was unable to land the fish. Fish hit lethargically around 3:15 after pausing a green/chartreuse wally diver along a sandy flat dropoff. I didn't know there was even a fish on until the line started moving outward then bending the rod tip and peeling line off the reel. After tightening the drag up I was able to feel the weight of the fish, then just like that it was off the lure. :-( Don't know what it was but it felt pretty big. Maybe it was one of these big basses(?) that Kevin and Wda are getting? Nice pic wda!
