Fished Channel Lake this morning, a crappie and a few bluegill in the shallows. Tried deeper water but wasn't able to locate anything. There were quite a few people out, plenty of small fish being caught but not many worth talking about. Ice was 7-8" with alot of rumbling and strange noises. By early afternoon the shoreline ice had softened. Ice should be OK for awhile, but getting across the open shore will be a problem by the end of the weekend. Good luck.
