Re: Dave, I had a great time as well. My buddy finally got out on the ice with me for the first time in a month and he had a ball. We didn't get out until about 5:30 but we caught them until 9:00. We actually left the ice while the fish were still biting. Caught all our fish on Glow Snowmen with a shiner. At the start I was hooking the shiner through the lips. The bite really slowed so we switched to hooking them in the back and boom, the bite was back.
My day didn't end all that well, however. My tackle box fell out of the sled on the way in from the ice. I stopped by the lake this morning to look for it, but no luck. Believe it or not, the lake was deserted too.
Anyway, if the group that left after us found it, please let me know. 20 bucks for it's return
Good fishing
: Well if anyone finds a way onto the ice early in the week, be carefull! I did notice
: that the main slab of ice was getting thin in many areas (around 3")
: Nice to see that the Fox Chain fishery has come back to support such a fine panfish
: population. Let's hope it keeps up for many years to come!
