I went to the South end of Channel Lake today and there were 4 guys out on the ice. I also went out about 75 yards and fished briefly. However, I came back in because the ice is only about 3 inches thick and saturated with water. It is all over for this year. I did see a guy in a float tube floating and casting in the channel between Channel Lake and Lake Marie. You have to be a hardy soul to do that with the water temperature at 35 degrees.
