Well, since my vex is down and out(well, ice transducer anyway) may as well be open water time. Also seeing the Red Wing Blackbirds(forget the Robin being the 1st sign of Spring), picking Spinach from my garden, and having some lady bugs flying around inside the house Saturday, reminds me of warmer days and open water. And as you know, I am cursed to catch 4'' gills forever and ever. Did try Lake MI twice on charters. 1st trip => no fish, 2nd => one fish. Then there was the time on the Grand River where I never saw so many trout caught in my life(from a pier). People to the left, people to the right, and me => nothing. Will try in Manistee MI the end of April though.
But, this is an ice fishing board, soooooooo. I would say that there will be safe ice on some lakes next week, so don't give up the ice(like I have!)
