Went out Sat morning to the north end of channel lake , got there about 9:00 am . At first the bite was slow , and smaller fish . But around 1:00 the action really started heating up . Caught a bunch of real nice sized gills , and saw a few guys catching some real nice crappies, a couple of verified 10" bubba's. The bait of choice seemed to be spikes on a chartruese or glow in the dark teardrop spoon . Orange with a black dot and a silver back also did well. Looks like that will be the last trip pf the year , gotta get the boat ready before Mr Pontification has an anurism . What a great way to end the season!!!All were catch and release by the way , that really drove some of those guys out there nuts , watching me put back some real nice gills ..
