Yes I would like to see what plans take two years to put together so please forward as I am somewhat curious.
Couple of years back I too decided to design and build an ice hut. I began with an old tent trailer base to which I was intending to place a bolt together structure. However this plan quickly evolved into the present more practical version. After the first year the axle and wheels were replaced with teflon covered skids while the easily dismantled wing nut/bolt together assembly now remains permanently assembled. This unit now is transported to the lake on my snomobile trailer. The unit has a wood heater, fitted with a couple of smoked glass windows salvaged from my old van, with two holes for fishing, enough seating for three with table that drops down into a bunk plus a fold down bunk if another should decide to overnight.I've used bubble foil duct insulation to line the interior which works great.
Anyway this hut has provided countles hours/days of fun fishing.
I am now working on a smaller pop up, fold down unit for transport to more remote areas behind my snowmobile. Perhaps there are ideas out there that I could incorporate into my design.
