Root River action is hot , My ex-fishing partner was up there on wed and was killing them on spawn sacks . He was closer to the lake where there are some deeper pools . He claimed ( all unverified of course ) that he caught over 20 that where fresh run steelhead . So it doesnt surprise me that the steelhead are around the harbors too . He is going back again on saturday with all his UN buddies to get into some of that great action . If you see him he will be wading and giggling like a girl ( also goes by the name of buffy ) . He might even share a few pointers with you .
