: : : : : got a question boys and girls.if I go out into the break-wall area around hammond marina can I get anything flat-lining with a crank-bait or something like that?anyone done it lately? thanks

: : : : You will probably still pick up some coho, browns and possibly a steelhead. The water is pretty cloudy though. On flat lines close to shore I've been doing very well lately on blue and silver hot n tots 75 yrds back and shallow running perch rapalas that run about 3 to 5 feet down. Large K.O. wobblers work pretty well too. Especially in the cloudy water. Hope it helps.

: : : Andy, I was thinking of going out on tues. How's the water clarity? Any action on dogger/fly? And one last question....any action near burnam? Thanks

: : Water clarity is about60% at 30 feet now but is clearing up will probably be better by sunday because we're supposed to get some south to southwest winds. I haven't fished out of burnham yet this year. A friend of my was out there about a week and a half ago and picked up his limit of coho in about an hour on red dodgers and white tinsel flys at 12 ft and running black and green northport nailers on sliders. I've been doing the same and doing just as well off of 95th st in 30 to 35 feet. One thing that is strange is, that everything I've picked up off of 95th st has been trolling Straight north. Nothing south, east or west. Got me stumped. Good luck. Let me know how you do. If the weather is what they say it's supposed to be, I'll be out tomorrow. I'm at work today.

: Never fished the big Lake for the Salmon Species but was thinn\king when I red your post the you were catching fish only when you trolled north. Just a thought but do you think it could be due to the wind blowing the water down the lake to the south end and the fish find it easier to face into the current like on a river. Like I said never done it but thought that may be a reason.
: Gary

Yes, that is a viable possiblity. I was thinking about it this weekend and the wind wind was blowing from the south. It may have had to do with speed. I don't have a speedometer on my boat and trolling north (with the wind) we were moving alot faster and the fish were very aggressive that day. But your point is a good one too.
