Went out of Burnham today, started working near shore 20 - 30 ft. deep. Not a hit, went out to 50 -60 ft. deep and limited out in 3 hours. Water was 52 F, all fish came on a dogger fly/spoon. The fish seemed to hit on the turns(fast & slow side). All the fish were caught on flat lines with in-line sinkers
(2 oz.)60 ft. back off the boards. Fish ranged 2.5 - 5.5 lbs. It was quite a run out there, about 8 mi. I only have a "walleye" boat with a 125, so needless to say it was quite calm. Actually it was calmer out there than near shore? This is an learnig experince for me, this being my first year fishing the big lake for salmon. Good fishin and enjoy the flies if you go.
