Hit Dean Mitchell for an hour or two before work on tue & wed. How nice, warm weather, small crowds and a few guys were catching fish. Not this guy mind you.
But I was only out for a couple of hours. Tues. the guy next to me had a nice brown about 5lbs caught on a live roach under a float. I talked to a guy who supposedly, was catching fish on "chartreuse shad raps". The one he showed me was a #5 firetiger. The other claims of fish were on orange KO wobblers. Apart from the one guy with the roach, the general consensus was most of the fish
caught were browns on artificials. Wed seemed really slow. Most guys left by noon. All of my fishing was done on the break wall. I don't know what was going on in the discharge and back area. But I didn't see anyone walking out with fish.
I'll say this though what Scout said below was 100% true. Once the papers mention the word "coho" and "Dean Mitchell" in one paragraph. This place will be a zoo. Till then I'm going to try to make it out during the week a few times
more.
