There should be scattered schools around the chicago harbors now. One way to find out is to get out and try. The worst thing would be to sit and wait for the media reports to come out and say, "there here." Not only is that old news but then you'll have to fight the crowds as well for a spot. Last year the month of march was very good and by the second week of April alot of fish had moved farther offshore already due to very early warm water temps. This winter has been almost as mild as last. I have a few friends who have done pretty good at Montrose already this month.
