Yes, I've seen tons of BIG carp at Dean Mithcell in Gary. I would estimate that most of the carp are either ten pounds or much bigger. If you walk down the trail at Dean mitchell and just keep walking straight to the water after the trail ends, you will come to a wall of those giant rocks. Most of the fish i see are right there and also to the right further where the rocks and the breakwall meet. I also have a question. What type of bait and rig do you use to catch these things? I wanted to try for them sometime, but i'm afraid that the Gobi's will steel my bait all the time.
