: : : I was wondering where I can access the river with my fishing boat? I am from Aurora ,IL. and would like directions. Also is my boat to small to put into that Lake? It is an 18ft. fiberglass fishing boat? Any help would be appreciated as always good fishing. Thanks in advance.
: : You can access the Calumet River and Lake Calumet by taking I-55 to I-294 east toward Indianna. Exit at Cicero Av. and stay in the left hand lane, at the light turn left onto Cicero and the another left at the next light onto 127th Street. You will see the bridge over the river ahead of you. Look on the right for the signs directing you to the Alsip Boat Ramp. Cost is 5.00 or 40.00 for season. Your boat is plenty big enough for the river and the Lake. To get to the Lake take the river unpstream and thru the locks. Once thru the locks the Lake is the first stretch of water on the left. Once you get to the back fish around the right side and be careful of the shallow water back towrd the Golf course. Good fishing.

: Thanks for your help. The River that I will be launching from is that Calumet River?
That would be the Cal/Sag canal at 127th St Cicero.
