: : YES! On TV this weekend I saw july 19th trough the 23rd the 2000 Bassmasters Classic is going to be held on Lake Michigan. The weigh in will be at Soldiers Field, and a huge show at McCormick Place.

: YES ROGER , I KNOW WHEN THE T IS. I'M JUST WORDERING WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO WEIGHT IN , WHEN ITS CATCH AND RELEASE ON LAKE MICHIGAN.

The other problem will be the weigh-in at Soldier Field. What if it rains?

There have been a lot of articles written in the Sun-Times, Tribune, and the Outdoor Notebook about the current regulations in place. The biggest problem is not the C&R only on smallmouth, but the ability to fish in the harbors. Currently the person in charge on the harbors said that you can not fish within 100 feet of a docked boat, I think he said 100 feet. Anyway, the person in charge of the harbors at one point said that COULD fish the harbors. Two or three weeks later a new article had him saying that because of the pressure put on him by boat owners he re-instated the 100 foot rule. I know some of the pro's have already voiced their opinion about fishing in areas that are off limits to everyday anglers. They don't think that they should be allowed to fish those areas either. Otherwise how can they prove that they can fish these waters better than anyone else.
Regardless of what changes or exceptions are made I can't wait to see what kinds of weights the pro's can bring in.
