Wojo, Have been going to Bull Shoals each year since 1990. Most years we have gone in the spring, for a week, anywhere from 1st week of April to 1st week in May. Have hit it great about 1/2 the time (everything's biting). The first year was a real education in clear water fishing. We were just not used to fishing water that you could see the bottom 20 ft. down. Early spring the water is very clear, later on in the summer the algae lowers the visibility. Have always stayed down on the south end of the lake (near the Dam). Even in the years that the fishing was not great, you just can't beat the Ozarks in the spring. We did use alot of minnows for the Crappie, cranks for the Walleye and Small Mouth, and jig & pig for the Large mouth and Kentuckys. Also they have an annual release of trout that usually takes place aroung Easter and is a nice fill in if other fish are not co-operating. Any further questions, drop me an e-mail.

Kirk
