The Gallatin is where "A River Runs Through It" was filmed. The setting of the movie is supposed to be the Blackfoot River near Missoula, but I guess the scenery was better on the Gallatin.
We had a great day on the river as well, streamers with a stonefly nymph dropper. I only fished the Madison one day, spent several days on the Yellowstone. Not sure what I liked better, the Yellowstone had more cutthroats which was kind of cool.
