i had about twenty guy's come up and ask for more info on the Rock and Kishwaukee.Now i know someone out there is going to slam me for saying anything about the Kish,but dont waste your time as ALL the people were Alliance members and ALL preach catch and release.I was also invited to their home rivers and i just may take up a few.One more thing i would like to say and i ask for feedback on this one,so please speak up i want to hear your input!Last night the Alliance had a table set up and they had a petition going around.They are trying to get a section catch and release only,They did manage to get at least a hundred names on that petition and i know this is being sent to the D.N.R..
If i started a petition like this would you sign or not sign?Is it time to get the Kishwaukee ALL catch and release?I know that A lot of you guy's have stumbled across people that are keeping 10" smallies and are infuriated by it!
The regulations now are written so that a rocket scientist has a hard time telling what they meen.If it were all C&R would the minority's that have a hard time reading english have a better understanding of the regs.Im not trying to pick on minority's but i have stopped a few of them that had illegal fish and iv'e always gotten the same reply NO COMPRENDE,AMIGO!And they hate when i accidently knock over their bucket,seems they learn to speak english real fast!
They have just as much right to fish as i do but they feel they have more rights when it comes to keeping fish.Like i said this is just one scenario that i came upon last summer,im not trying to single minority's out.I also caught a guy and his girlfreind seining minnows and using those for bait to catch smallies last summer as well and they also had about four illegal fish.When i told them they cant keep the fish i was greeted with a middle finger and then a guy in my face.If we did have this regulation there would be no debate!I would just take a liscense plate # down and contact the D.N.R. for poaching.
