I've fished the Kish many times, caught lots of smallies and a couple northern, but never a muskie. Obviously that fish was planted since tigers don't reproduce. I wonder if there's a stocking plan, or if it was transferred by a fisherman. Did this happen close to the Rock or further upstream? Also, since I haven't really caught a lot of northern in the Kish, I'm looking for some new spots in the Kish that might hold better populations of pike. Tips on where they might be a little more abundant would be appreciated. Would the Dekalb area be a good spot, or would I be better off getting closer to Rockford, or is it just the structure that makes the difference and not the proximity to bigger water like the Rock river.
