Welcome to the area Del. There are several areas to launch up and down the rock. Some launches are much better than others. I would reccommend that you invest $8.00 in a Rock River fishing hot spots map. You can get it any local bait shop or tackle store. It will tell you every boat launch from Rockton to Oregon and it will highlight areas to start fishing. The map will also help you identify shallow areas as well. The rock river had been known to eat a prop or two so do your homework.
