Yeah,i had thought about that as well. When Doug Goodman asked me to write a conservationist's point of veiw on the new motor limit law,i wondered if i went down to Peirce or shabbona the first nice day, would somebody break the law right away?Id bet my St.Croix on it!In the article i talked about a canoe trip to the Turtle Flambeau Flowage my wife and i took 3 years ago.Since we were in a canoe we stayed in the Quiet Zone or no wake Area, this area is 2500 acres in size. But if you know the Flowage at all it's a massive body of water.I beleive around 300,000 acres in total size,Yet sure enough there were people in fishing boats flying through this area like they werent aware of the rule.My first thinking was this person probably isnt familiar with the Flowage and isn't aware of the law, probably from out of state. When this guy got real close to us it was apperent he was a local.Wisconsin registration, his gear looked like it saw daily use,the boat was beat up and he had his dog with him.He was from right around the Flambeau area and couldnt even abide by a law from his own state. Most of the people using Shabbona and peirce are local's it will be interesting if we have the same effect.
