Twenty-six teams brought 82 largemouth or smallmouth to the scales that weigh-in at a total of 168.05 pounds. Only two teams of the twenty-six failed to bring a single fish to add to the total. Four of the teams had six fish limits.

In a repeat of Father's Day the team of Howard and Chris Malinowski (Alsip) ($590.00) managed to out weigh the field with a total weigh of 16.57 lbs. "We pretty much fished the same area as we did last tournament, but a little bit shallower" said Chris. "My dad was out yesterday and found that with the full moon a few days ago that some of the smallmouth were still moving to the shallows to spawn. So we capitalized on it." On the weigh-in stand Howard was asked what was your best bait today? His reply, "tubes" Then asked what color? "pink", was his reply, which got a laugh from the weigh-in crowd. Do you think you and your son can do the three peat next tournament? "Going to try" said Howard.
